We discuss the tracks that should have got played somewhere in the first nine podcasts. It's all those bands we seem to reference every episode but haven't go around to playing... until now!
New Feature! Spotify!
We've created a Spotify Playlist to supplement the Podcast - it features other tracks by the featured artists plus other tracks we mention in the 'cast but don't play. Big fat boo to Spotify for not having any Fugazi though. You'll probably need the Spotify program installed before clicking on this link:

Notes & Errata:
The cover art is a pastiche of the cover of the "Shooting Stars" BBC Video featuring Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer.
The Velvet Underground quote Gareth refers to goes something like this: "Only 100 people ever bought a Velvet Underground record, but every one of those people went on to form a band." We can't find the actual source of the quote but Brian Eno has definitely made noises to this effect - read this interview from around 1976.
When talking about the influence of the Velvet Underground and Neutral Milk Hotel, Nick means from the 60s and 90s rather than influential in those decades. Worth pointing out as the defining nature of their influence was that it wasn't felt immediately.
Fugazi's Ian MacKaye was previously in Minor Threat. Fugazi's first two EPs are collected on the 13 Songs CD. Which you should own.
'Come On Pilgrim' was made up of tracks from the so-called Purple Tape demo. There tracks that didn't make 'Come On Pilgrim' have since been released as 'The Purple Tapes' on Cooking Vinyl.
The Ciccone Youth track that mentions Redd Kross is "Two Cool Rock Chicks Listening to Neu!" from 1988's The Whitey Album.
